Spacetime Divinations

a grounded approach to the heavenly ecosystem

Some Things You Ought to Know

My name is Astro Phil, and my approach to astrology is geared just like my Moon: out of bounds.

In this time, my place is thirty-five acres of forest, meadow, cliffs and creeks in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, that we call Plantasia. I divide my energy between astrology, gardening, forestry/tree work, and offering my full self to my wife, Sacha, and our two kids, Arthur and Aurora.

My wife Sacha, an intuitive herbalist, flower essence practitioner and best mother in the world, tends my family’s connection with a local network of earth-based households and homesteads trying to live toward personal and shared ideals. Among us, there is a large proportion of men named Phil. One night in 2018 around a bonfire, a poetic neighbor called me “Astro Phil” (like “astrophile”, a lover of stars), and it stuck.

Becoming a father and living in close relationship with nature has provided much healing for me, and opened me up to deeper parts of myself and the worlds all around. It has certainly informed my approach to astrology as a tool for healing and integrating the soul and awakening and feeding our truest selves.

My love for astrology continues to deepen as I breathe in its magic each day. Through some strike of fortune, it speaks to me, and through me. The steady cultivation of my practice as an astrologer, a messenger between my clients and the stars, brings such delightful alignment and fulfillment to my life. It is an immense joy and a deep honor to do this work, and my heart swells and rings out with appreciation for my clients, my astro ancestors, and the stars themselves.

A Decade of Practice Has Brought Me Here

I didn’t come to astrology looking for certainty.

I came looking for a language that could describe patterns I was already observing in life.

From the start with my astro studies, I have always questioned quick answers. What has kept me engaged is the extraordinary depth of the symbolic language itself. A birth chart is not a collection of labels to me. It is a living geometry. An ecosystem of meaning. A symbolic structure that continues to reveal new layers the longer I work with it.

That curiosity has shaped the way I practice.

Whether I’m studying a birth chart, exploring an AstroCartography map, or researching your strongest vibrations, my goal is never to fit someone into a predefined interpretation. My goal is to observe carefully enough that the chart begins speaking in its own voice.

Over the years, my work has been profoundly shaped by Vibrational Astrology, the teachings of David Cochrane, and my studies with Linda Barry. Those influences opened a level of astrology that extends far beyond signs and houses into harmonics, midpoint structures, planetary geometry, and what I describe as Spacetime Coding: a framework for understanding how symbolic patterns unfold through both time and place.

Every client I work with has contributed to that understanding. No two charts express themselves in exactly the same way. Part of the privilege of this work is witnessing how the same symbolic pattern can take on entirely different faces in different lives.

Because of that, I try to hold every reading with equal parts preparation and humility. I spend hours with your chart before we ever meet. During the session, I don’t assume I already understand you. The best readings become conversations where your lived experience and the symbolic language of the chart illuminate one another.

I don’t think astrology is finished. It’s a perfect, never-ending key, like the number Pi (π). That’s one of the reasons I will always love this work.

Every chart teaches me something.

If you’d like to explore your own symbolic patterns through AstroCartography or birth chart analysis, all through my framework of Spacetime Coding, give me a shout. I would love to work with you, but I must rely on you to ask!

All blessings,

Phil
